You only get one chance to make a great first impression when it comes to presenting your home.  Almost always, it’s worth that extra week and little bit of money to make sure your house shines to ensure you get top dollar for your house.

Before putting your house on the market, we will walk through it with you and show you what you should – and should not! – do to get your house ready to sell.  Think of it as a well planned visual strategy to spend less time on the market and get more offers.

Getting your property ready to sell shouldn’t be thought of as an annoying experience. It can turn into a fun and inventive task. Together, we’ll work to get a top dollar offer for your home.

Use these home staging tips to get you started:

CURB APPEAL

Take a fresh look at the exterior of your house from the street. What jumps out at you? What positive features seem waiting to be noticed? What measures we can take to attract buyers from the street and into your home. Does the paint need to be touched up or a little landscaping TLC?  It’s time to get this done!

INSIDE CHARM

Does your house seem to say, “Welcome to Your New Home” to a buyer? Touring your property with a critical eye, I’ll advise you of adjustments that build appeal. Together we will come up with a game plan  to depersonalize and reduce the appearance of clutter.

We’ll review each room of your home. Improvements that directly affect your sale price include rooms that need neutral paint, carpet that needs to be steamed, fixtures that need replacing, and windows that need cleaning.  If these types of services are needed we have a network of small contractors who can get it done in a jiffy.

SETTING THE STAGE

For both homes that are vacant and those occupied, we provide “light staging” at no cost.  This includes pictures, plants, towels, on-trend decorative items and occasionally small furniture items.  These are all placed with care and designed to make your home stand out from the competition!

PROFESSIONAL STAGING

Occasionally for the higher end market or larger vacant homes we will recommend professional staging.  We have found that professionally staged homes sell faster and for more money than their unstaged competition!

We have many techniques we can utilize to best represent your home. Feel free to use the contact form below to get started!
